PT BAI Continues Its Commitment to Quarterly Blood Donation Drives with PMI Mempawah

Mempawah, November 21, 2024 - As part of its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, PT Borneo Alumina Indonesia (BAI) successfully held another Blood Donation for Humanity initiative in collaboration with the Blood Donation Unit (UDD) of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in Mempawah Regency. The activity took place at the PT BAI Clinic in Bukit Batu Village, Mempawah, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, and involved enthusiastic participation from company employees.
This initiative aims to help meet the growing national demand for blood while also fostering a culture of compassion among employees and the surrounding community. A total of 61 donors participated and contributed blood, which will be distributed by PMI to support patients in need—including those undergoing surgery, suffering from serious illnesses, or victims of accidents.
Wira Sembiring, PT BAI's Public Relations Officer, expressed appreciation for the strong turnout. “We are proud to be part of this humanitarian mission. This blood donation activity aligns with our corporate values of care and compassion. It is a routine program held every three months, and we aim to make it even more impactful in future editions,” he stated.
Regular blood donation has become part of PT BAI’s corporate culture and reflects the company’s deep-rooted humanitarian values. Moving forward, PT BAI remains committed to making this initiative a permanent program while encouraging greater participation from employees and partners in support of this noble cause.
