Definition and Purpose of Fatal Risk Management
Definition:
- A safe work method equipped with a set of supporting tools used to increase effectiveness in preventing accidents that could result in fatality or serious injury.
- Identification and visualization of 14 fatal risks faced by workers within PT BAI’s operational environment.
- Determination of standardized critical controls to help us work safely.
- Empowering all employee levels to be able and courageous to "stop the work" if any critical control is found to be improperly implemented or ineffective.
Purpose:
- The main objective of the FRM program is to raise awareness among employees and contractors about fatal risks and the effective implementation of controls for each identified risk.
- We believe that the prevention of fatal accidents can be achieved by focusing our efforts on developing employees and contractors in recognizing and identifying fatal risks, as well as how to control them to prevent these risks from becoming accidents.
- Through the FRM program, PT BAI aims to achieve Safe Production and eliminate fatal accidents.
