PT BAI Donates Educational Facilities to Schools Around Its Operational Area
Mempawah, 12 December 2024 – As part of its social responsibility commitment, PT Borneo Alumina Indonesia (BAI) has provided facilities and infrastructure support to three schools located near its operational area—SDN 15 Sungai Kunyit, SDN 17 Sungai Kunyit, and SDS Al-Fajar. This initiative aims to support the improvement of educational quality and create a more comfortable and proper learning environment for students. The support included various essential school supplies such as desks, student chairs, and whiteboards. The donations were handed over directly by PT BAI’s CSR team to the school representatives.
Wira Sembiring, Assistant Manager of External Relations & CSR, stated, “This program is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting educational development in the areas surrounding our operations. We believe education is the foundation for a better future. That is why we remain committed to contributing to quality education for the children in our surrounding communities.”
Amelia, a teacher at SDS Al-Fajar, also expressed her appreciation: “We sincerely thank PT BAI for the donation of chairs, desks, and whiteboards. This support is highly beneficial for our students, and we hope it will allow them to learn in a more comfortable and effective environment.”
