PT BAI Provides Rice Aid to Flood-Affected Residents in Mempawah Regency Through Mempawah Police Department
Mempawah, January 25, 2025 – PT Borneo Alumina Indonesia (BAI) reaffirmed its commitment to the community by distributing food aid to flood victims in Mempawah Regency. The assistance, which included 5kg bags of rice and boxes of instant noodles, was delivered through the Mempawah Police Department to ensure proper and timely distribution.
The aid was handed over directly by representatives of PT BAI’s CSR team at the Mempawah Police Headquarters. These essential goods will be distributed to residents in several flood-affected areas.
On the occasion, Wira Sembiring, Assistant Manager of External Relations & CSR at BAI, emphasized that this initiative is part of the company’s social responsibility to support surrounding communities, particularly during emergency situations. “We hope this support can help ease the burden of those affected by the floods. We remain committed to making positive contributions to the communities around us,” he said. The synergy between the company and law enforcement in the distribution of aid reflects a strong collaboration that is expected to accelerate disaster recovery efforts and fulfill the basic needs of the affected population.
